Winterize
It is very important for you to protect your cast stone and pottery fountains, birdbaths, planters and statuary from the freeze-thaw cycle during the winter months. Ideally, cast stone and pottery décor that can collect water, should not be left outside when temperatures dip down to freezing. They should be stored indoors or in a dry protected place such as a covered porch or garage that is away from the elements. This is not always possible, so it is recommended that you completely dry out your décor and add a waterproof cover. This is because any cast stone or pottery component that can hold water and freeze has the potential to crack and crumble. Components such as fountain pedestals which remain in a basin/pool can also crack or crumble.

Hi, I like the Pioggia style fountain but, I\'m looking for one that doesn\'t need to be winterized. Do you have any fountain like that?
All of our fountains are recommended to be winterized.

There isn't a specific cover for it, but we do have a generic one that would work with it.

Does this require both algaecide and water scale cleaner to keep it clean? In such a big fountain how much cleaner to put in? Also with automatic refill how often to add it? Is it totally safe for birds? And for DOGS?
If you have hard water and start seeing the calcium/scale build up then you will want to us a product called PROTEC

There really isn't any real science to how often to add it. Typically once a week is fine. If you start to see build up of either algae or scale then increase the rate you add the solutions.

Does this fountain have to be taken indoors during the winter months? Also, does this run with a standard electrical cord? If so, how long is the cord?
You can leave it outdoors if you properly winterize it. You will dry it completely out and cover with a fountain cover. It does run with a standard electrical cord. The cord is 16'.

Would it be delivered and assembled in our yard, or is it only curbside delivery only?
It is free curbside delivery. We recommend finding a local landscaper to help put it in to place and install it for you.

Is this one piece or multiple? If multiple, how heavy is the biggest piece?
It will be multiple pieces. The heaviest piece is around 300 pounds.

Have 80mph winds here Will the higher pieces stay in place? How much do the individual pieces weigh?
High winds can be a cause for the upper components to topple over, but these are designed to withstand high winds. That being said, we can't guarantee that 80mph winds won't have an effect. Please see the parts breakdown below:

How high is the lowest bowl from the ground?
The Pedestal height is 26", so that is the height from the ground to the bottom of the lowest bowl.
