Adding Vesuvio Fountain, X-Large (Short) creates a dramatic accent to your garden settings. This water fountain is full of elegance giving your outdoor surroundings an amazing ambiance. It is made of durable cast stone to enjoy for a lifetime.
Please Note: This water fountain is made to order. Please allow 2 -3 weeks for production with additional time for transit. Also, our color chart is for example purposes only. Monitor settings and how the finish is applied to these outdoor water fountains can vary to what is shown in the color chart. Actual stone samples of each finish can be purchased to help you make your finish choice.
Winterize
It is very important for you to protect your cast stone and pottery fountains, birdbaths, planters and statuary from the freeze-thaw cycle during the winter months. Ideally, cast stone and pottery décor that can collect water, should not be left outside when temperatures dip down to freezing. They should be stored indoors or in a dry protected place such as a covered porch or garage that is away from the elements. This is not always possible, so it is recommended that you completely dry out your décor and add a waterproof cover. This is because any cast stone or pottery component that can hold water and freeze has the potential to crack and crumble. Components such as fountain pedestals which remain in a basin/pool can also crack or crumble.

How many pieces does the fountain come in and how many gallons does the fountain hold!
This fountain comes in a total of 8 pieces. It holds approx. 30 gallons of water.

I\'m considering purchasing but have questions. I want to put the fountain on the middle of a raised flower bed. The bed is approximately 12 inches high above ground. What would be the foundation requirement? Additionally, I live in Connecticut winters can be brutal with winds occasionally in the 60 mph range. How does this fountain hold up to high winds and freeze thaw?.
This fountain should be set on a mixture of gravel and sand for leveling or you can put it on a concrete pad or pavers (with sand on top). This fountain will need to be winterized. You can completely dry it out and put a fountain cover on during the cold months.
